BoPHA will again host 3 Secondary School tournaments in 2010. The Tier 1 Secondary School Boys Rankin Cup, which Rotorua Boys HS qualified for in 2009, will be played in Rotorua. Full schedule here.

The Board of Hockey New Zealand has confirmed the decision to change the National Under 16 Premier and Championship tournaments back to an Under 15 age group, effective 1st January 2010. This decision was made based on strong Association preference for the change. This means that from 2010 onwards the Age Qualification ruling will be as follows:
“To be eligible to play in the National Under 15 Tournaments, the players must be under the age of 15 years old as at January 1 of the year in which the tournament is played. (A player whose 15th birthday is on or after 1 January is eligible, a player whose 15th birthday is before 1 January is ineligible).”

Rep, School & Club teams are welcome to submit their  hockey team photo & a selection of team action photos for the BOPHA website photo gallery. Maximum size 500 pixels. Email to jude@whainiho.co.nz
