Congratulations to our NZ Team for winning the bronze medal in the inaugural 2010 Youth Olympics.  Hockey NZ CEO message here.  This was an intense and close competition and our NZ girls have done extremely well.

Congratulations to Rotorua Aces Men's and Women's teams, who both placed 3rd in the Intercity Finals.  A fantastic effort in a very tough competition.  Well done also to Rotorua Indians who won the Plate Final, placing 9th.  Full final results here, points tables/placings here.

A special general meeting of the BoPHA is called on 4 August 2010; 6.30 pm at  the Hockey Pavilion, Smallbone Park to consider and decide on the restructuring of the BoPHA and the adoption of new rules accordingly. Draft BoPHA rules 2010 here

16 of Hockey's rising female stars have been selected to represent NZ in Hockey at the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in Singapore this August.  Info and full team list here.

We are extremely proud and offer our sincere congratulations to BoP's own Jenny Travis, who has been named as Manager of the NZ Womens Youth Olympic Team.

Jenny's Hockey career spans far and wide beginning with her 1st game as a 5yr old on the grass in Northland,  and most recently as a NZ Masters player.  Jenny has coached Rotorua School teams and many BoP age group representative teams.  Jenny's committment to Hockey has been to BoP's gain over a number of years.

Well done Jenny, we wish you all the very best in your role as Manager of this NZ Team!!
